Twill is a kind of cotton fabric with two up and down twill and 45 degrees left slant.The twill lines are obvious on the front,and the mottled twill lines are less obvious on the back.Warp and weft yarns are interwoven at least once every two yarns.By adding warp and weft interweaving points and changing the fabric organization structure,they are collectively called twill fabrics.
The basic feature of twill fabric is to use various twill structures to make the surface of the fabric show oblique lines composed of long lines floating through or through weft.Twill is a medium thick low grade twill cotton cloth,there are two kinds of coarse and fine(20-40 pieces),both using 2/1 left twill structure,the texture is slightly thicker and softer than plain cloth,and the front lines are clear.

On the basis of the original tissue twill,the twill tissue is obtained by extending the warp and weft tissue points,or changing the number of flights,or changing the direction of the twill line,or increasing the number of twill strips,or using several methods at the same time.
1.Strengthen the twill
It is made by adding tissue points along the meridional or zonal direction beside a single tissue point of twill tissue.(twill organization so that there is no single organization point in the organization)
Application:Serge,gabatine and double-sided khaki all adopt 2/2 reinforced twill;
Twill fabrics are often trimmed with 2/2 reinforced twill.
2.Composite twill
A varying twill structure having two or more twill lines of different thickness and consisting of twill lines formed by the warp or weft points.Compound twill is generally a combination of simple twill and reinforced twill.
3.Angle of twill
①Regular twill
Regular twill:The twill structure with an Angle of about 45°between the twill and the weft yarn is regular twill
②Angle twill
Angle twill:a twill structure whose Angle between the twill line and the weft yarn is not equal to 45°.
Application:Khaki,gabardine,etc.
4.Reverse twill
Also known as herringbone twill:Change the direction of the twill line so that half of it slopes to the right and half to the left,forming a symmetrical continuous mountain twill on the surface of the fabric.
Application:Herringstock,coat,women's style,etc.
5.Broken twill
Unlike the yamagata twill,there is a clear demarcation between the left and right twill of the broken twill.
Broken twill is generally better organized with double-sided twill.
Application:Herringword, Hailimeng,etc.
